Established in 1976 as Jay Thienes and Associates by his father, Brian Thienes expanded the business in 1986 to include Thienes Engineering, Inc.

Our main office in La Mirada, Ca., employs approximately 60 people and our satellite office in Murrieta, Ca., employs 10.

Technology:

Thienes Engineering, Inc. utilizes CADD software and Civil Engineering programs for all its engineering and surveying operations. Currently Thienes Engineering utilizes all versions of Auto Cad from Civil3D, Autodesk LandDesktop, AutoCad 2008 to Version 14 with CivilSoft  on Microsoft based systems. All surveying work is performed with TDS Ranger data collectors and Leica TCR703 Total stations with dual axis compensators which achieve accurate and reliable surveys with a minimal chance of errors. We also use Trimble GPS 5700 on projects requiring GPS, enabling real-time differential GIS grade surveys and navigation.
